Jamaal Charles (ankle): reports are he has a high ankle sprain

Matt Hasselbeck (back): not medically cleared to play, unlikely to be active

Steven Jackson (quadriceps): should be ready to go, said Jim Haslett on Monday

Sammy Morris (knee): doesn’t sound good for Week 9

Santana Moss (hamstring): says it’s no concern, and that he’ll play Monday

Carson Palmer (elbow): ruled out Monday, Ryan Fitzpatrick to start again

Willie Parker (knee): practiced Tuesday but questionable

Michael Pittman (ribs): questionable; whole backfield is nicked up

Clinton Portis (ankle): expected to play, though a Monday game

Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder): aggravated the injury in Week 8; should play though

Tony Romo (finger): likely to be inactive again, Brad Johnson will start
