* Orioles - (45-48) at the break… NOT BAD at all… who would have THUNK !!!??? That is what makes this season so great - embrace this team BIRDLAND!  A few players to keep an eye on… Trade Deadline - July 30th - what will happen with - Huff, Sherill, Payton, B ROB, Bradford, Millar… The O’s begin an 11 game home-stand this week - Tigers, B Jays, and Angels…

* G. Sherill - SNAPS to Charlie Brown for REPRESENT’N at the All Star Break!!!  2 1/3 SCORELESS innings for the AL.  From the Independent League to the All Star Game - simply amazing!

* NYY -pick up Richie Sexson instead of Barry Bonds… are you KIDDING ME!!!??? Can you spell CONSPIRACY in MLB!? I believe the inner workings of MLB are worse than the mafia… Bonds is a dead man in America’s Favorite Pastime…

* Josh Hamilton -MY HERO!!! To battle through the drug addiction he experienced then to display such power and dominance in a game that is ALL ABOUT THE LONG BALL - simply amazing!!! This Ultimate Sports Chick is digging it!

* MLB - Mid Season Awards:AL Cy - Mariano Rivera / MVP - Josh Hamilton / Rookie - Evan Langoria… NL Cy - Tim Lincecum / MVP - Albert Pujols / Rookie - Geovany Soto

 * Ravens- busy week for Ozzie… 1) Ozzie could not get a contract extension done with T. Suggs before the deadline - therefore, the Ravens have to wait until March to revisit the issue…  2) Ozzie agress in principle to a 5 yr - 30 mil / 8.75 mil guaranteed with first round pick, Joe Flacco…GREAT! Just in time to get him into camp - so he can compete with Kyle and Troy for the starting job. “Roll the balls out, and may the BEST man win” - J. Harbaugh…  3) O’Neal Cousins and Marcus Smith are the only 2 other players with deals DONE… next up Ray Rice - so that 1 - 2 punch in the backfield is legit!

* Brett Favre - we knew from day 1 of his retirement that the “I can’t give up this game” itch would be too much for this gunslinger to handle… I have always said - there are 3 sides to every story… HIS , HERS , and somewhere in-between is THE TRUTH.  I respect that the Packers want to move on with the Aaron Rodgers era… but you CANNOT deny a man work - especially when there are a number of teams that would LOVE his services.  Resolve this NOW - request a list of teams Brett would like to play for and work out a trade deal, so both sides WIN! DONE!

 * Madden ‘09- keep in mind…Madden ‘09 with Favre on the cover will be released in August… If the Packers believe in curses - they should have NOTHING to worry about!

* Unsigned talent -with NFL camps a few days away - there is still a NUMBER of unsigned talent. Leftwich, Daunte, Shaun “I AM SOFT” Alexander, Ron Dayne, Takeo…just to name a few… what gives?

* Peyton Manninghad his BURSA SAC operated on this week… sounds DISGUSTING!!! He will be out 6 weeks. Sorgi who?

* Trent Dilfer retired this week and now will be working with ESPN for this coming football season! My one question when i think of Trent… would you rather be the worst QB to win a super bowl…or the best QB to never win one…??? Coffee talk - discuss

* British Openthis week - will you be tuning in without Tiger Woods in the hunt…? no - me neither… BTW - when did Greg Norman starting knocking boots with Chris Evert…? Really… Really…?

* ESPY’s- hosted by Justin Timberlake - airs Sunday at 9pm… Tiger wins Best Male Athlete, yet again!!! My question is could he beat me in a game of one on one basketball…? I think NOT! But yet - he is Best Male Athlete… Really… Really…? Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers have a moment, you know I will tune in simply to see that! Josh Hamilton gets honored as well… a MUST SEE!

* Brady Quinn- please say it isn’t so!!!  My future baby daddy!!! please take a page out of Mike Piazza’s life and have a press conference so the world can hear… ” I AM NOT _ _ _ …”
