Well… it looks like we’ll finally know about Erik Bedard in the very near future. What a long, drawn-out saga it has been. One writer in Seattle commented that if this were a movie it would be called the “Never Ending Story.” I don’t want to jinx anything, so I will wait until it becomes official to talk about the returns the O’s are getting.

I believe the official announcement will not come until Saturday. If it doesn’t happen until tomorrow, I won’t be able to comment on it until Monday because I am taking a little road trip (that may or may not include some readers of this blog). But, come Monday… we will be on overload with breaking this trade down. You’ll hear from scouts, baseball people,  and of course the Orioles President of Baseball Operations Andy MacPhail. Then… we can start hitting Brian Roberts trade talks, which will obviously get louder by the day once Bedard is gone.
