The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. Summer is in full swing… bbq’s… beer… fire works. Good times to be had. This year the holiday falls on a Friday, giving many folks a three day weekend, including yours truly. What will I be doing? Well… pretty much everything mentioned above, all  right here in B-More. It will be my personal mid summer classic.

On a serious note, the holiday has such special  meaning. As we all know, it marks the independence of this country from Great Britain, and the birth of the greatest nation in the world. The courage and determination of our founding fathers is worthy of commemoration every day, but most especially on the Fourth of July.

Fun and Freedom go very well together….

To that end… I say “have fun” to my friend and colleague Mark Zinno, who over the next two weeks will be serving our nation as a member of the Maryland National Guard. Mark will be back soon enough. Until then… you get a double dose of me…..
