cal_2131_300.jpgSome of Baltimore’s greatest professional sports games ever are being rebroadcast over the Christmas holiday on FM TALK 105.7 WHFS and ESPN RADIO 1300 AM.

Beginning at 5:00pm on Christmas Eve, FM TALK 105.7 WHFS will air the historic 1958 NFL Championship Game—the Baltimore Colts vs. the New York Giants.  That game, known as “the greatest game ever played,” took place at Yankee Stadium in New York.  Following that broadcast, WHFS will air the 1959 NFL Championship Game, again with the Colts and Giants, which was played in Baltimore at Memorial Stadium.

On Christmas Day, ESPN RADIO 1300AM and also FM TALK 105.7 will air a variety of classic broadcasts, beginning at 9am with Cal Ripken’s historic 2130 game with the Baltimore Orioles, followed immediately by the 2131 game.

After that, the Terps/Duke ACC Championship game from 2004 will be heard.

And, following that, both ESPN and FM TALK 105.7 will air the two Colts/Giants championship games which were broadcast the night before—the 1958 game followed by the 1959 game.

FM Talk 105.7 WHFS and ESPN RADIO 1300AM are both owned by CBS RADIO, one of the largest major-market radio operators in the United States.  A division of CBS Corporation, CBS RADIO operates 144 radio stations, the majority of which are in the nation’s top 50 markets.  CBS RADIO also owns and operates WLIF, WQSR and WJFK-AM in Baltimore.
