After having a day to digest what transpired in College Park Sunday night, I am still having trouble coming to grips with it. With 10 minutes to go, the Terps seemingly had their ticket all but punched to the dance. Now there is plenty of work left to do.

I still believe if the Terps get to 10 ACC wins before Selection Sunday they’re in….meaning they win at last place UVA on Sunday and then they win their 1st round game in the ACC tournament.

But, clearly, that loss on Sunday goes in the books as one of the worst losses in the Gary Williams era….Yet, considering how bleak things have looked at multiple points this season, a trip to the dance is still a distinct possibility.

Here is a look at the other local schools as we embark on conference tournament time. Maryland

Womens team: #2 Seed, they play Friday v. B.C./ Va Tech

Navy: #2 Seed, they play Wednesday, Bucknell @ Navy

UMBC: #1 Seed, they play Saturday, v. Stony Brook/ Maine

Loyola: #4 Seed, they play Saturday, v.Fairfield

Towson: #9 Seed, they play Friday, v. Hofstra

Morgan and Coppin still have one regular season to go…. and that is Thursday vs. each other.

I love this time a year….
