Well hello everyone…
One of the things I absolutely love about Baltimore and the mid-Atlantic region is that you really feel the different seasons. I’m not a big Winter guy, but Fall and Spring around here are amazing.
I couldn’t imagine living in a place where it is hot or cold all year round….
And when talking about seasonal […]

An interesting story from the Orioles game against the Royals on Monday night. I think this story is fascinating and refreshing in today’s world of the professional athlete….
Last night, in frustration, George Sherrill threw bubble gum all over the field; there were about 200 little pieces of unopened gum in a 30 foot radius. The bat boy had to go […]

Hello blog fans! I am back after a hiatus from blogging … what the hell … I just got lazy! Hope the bosses aren’t reading! Anyway, this blog is aptly titled, not only because it’s been a while since I did some writing, but also because it’s been a while since the Orioles have played […]

Finally!! The word “Baltimore” will be on the Orioles’ road uniforms next year. Thank goodness. This has been one of the hot button issues of the last ten years. It was removeded in 1973 by then owner Gerald Hoffberger… but only became an issue after what has transpired with this baseball club over the last 10 years.

Last night was not a good one for the Birds… Now it is time for Garrett Olson to make an adjustment. Clearly the league is picking up on his patterns. He is a smart guy I believe he can do it….
It is important to win tonight’s ball game to have a shot at a fantastic road […]

The Orioles’ victory last night was amazing, to say the least. Think about these unlikely happenings in the 1st inning alone. A Jeter error to continue the inning. Mussina walked a .200 hitter on four pitches with the bases loaded. Mussina allowed a 3 run double to Adam Jones on an 0-2 pitch. Mussina lasted just […]

This 5 game losing streak for the Birds certainly leaves alot to be desired. Five losses, none by more than 2 runs, is just terrible… but it is what I and most people expected. They are still battling and fighting. And they’re gotten a ton of good pitching performances from the young group of arms, which is the MOST […]

Here is a quick look at the Orioles’ minor league prospects. As expected, there are some who are performing up to par. There are some who are doing better than expected, and others who are struggling and disappointing.
As I have stated before and as I’ve done I will continue to keep you updated on the […]

It was a great weekend for the O’s! Any time you take a series from the Yankees, it is a good thing. But here comes the grind. The Orioles are on their way to Seattle today; tomorrow they’ll begin a 7 game road trip. In fact, the O’s are on the road for 17 of […]

Quick Hits…
One of the Orioles’ top prospects, Bill Rowell, was put on the DL yesterday. Many people with whom I spoke expect him to be back soon.
The White Sox starting pitcher tomorrow night is young Gavin Floyd. Floyd is from Bmore; he’s a Mt. St. Joe’s grad, and was a top 5 pick for the […]
