Thoughts on the Draft…
First, about my day on Sunday…. My work assignment was a fascinating one, to say the least. I first went to Ray Lewis’s Full Moon BBQ, where the Lewis/ Lattimore family was watching the draft. Then I headed out to the Castle in Owings Mills to wrap up our two day coverage of […]

The Ravens hold the 8th overall pick on Saturday in the NFL Draft. The smart money is on the Ravens taking quarterback Matt Ryan. For my money, it’s a bad move. In most cases, I don’t use a first round draft pick on a quarterback unless it’s the number one overall pick.
Quarterbacks are too risky […]

The Ravens 2008 schedule came out … OUCH! Have you seen this thing???? I mean the whole AFC North has some of the toughest schedules in the entire league, but for a team that went 5-11 last year and has made no significant improvements this offseason, they have a lot of work ahead of them.
My […]

Brian Billick’s dismissal from the Ravens was expected and probably overdue. I mean, heck outside of 2000 and 2006, this guy was a below-.500 coach and not the offensive guru that people made him out to be. We all know head coaches, especially in the NFL, are hired to be fired, and they are never […]

I have listened all this week about the Ravens offense. They can’t score in the red zone. Field goals aren’t enough. Steve McNair is hurt. We should start Kyle Boller. (Which I’d never thought I’d hear in this city!) And maybe some of this is true … heck, I can’t really make many arguments against […]

So thanks to that missed field goal, the Ravens breath a huge sigh of relief today.
A record of 3 and 2 looks pretty good, but the teams’ play right now looks pretty shaky. Would you like the Ravens chances this week if they were scheduled to play
Pittsburgh ? How about
New England ? Or Indy ?
The […]
