Erik Bedard’s mysterious hip injury has forced him to miss today’s scheduled start against the O’s at Camden Yards.  Does anyone else think that Erik “Mr. Sensitive, I don’t like to talk to the media, I never really liked it in Baltimore anyway” Bedard pulled a fast one on the fans in Baltimore???  Of course, the fact that the Mariners don’t play at Camden Yards the rest of the year is also quite convenient.  So my take is that it isn’t really facing the Orioles that scares Bedard … I mean let’s face it, this line-up isn’t anything to get worried about … it’s just facing the fans that he was so antagonistic to for the time he was here, that he isn’t thrilled about facing.  Sooooo … a hip injury that isn’t serious was just what Bedard needed to escape boos from Baltimore.  He would rather face his old mates at Safeco Field. 

Ironic that Bedard feels safer at Safeco, don’t you think??  Sorry, but i’m not buying it and neither should you O’s fans.
