With all that is going on in the world of sports did anyone even notice?  I mean, because no one is really talking about it.  You see a headline … hear a one-liner … it finishes the sports on the news.  The Houston Rockets have won 22 straight games.  In case you didn’t notice, the last time they lost was on January 27th, 2008.  Now look at your watch or a calendar in the room and figure out that it’s freakin’ ST. PATTY’S DAY!!!!  MARCH 17TH, 2008!!!!  Off the top of my head, a quick list of things that have happened since the Rockets last lost …

1) The Super Bowl was played … the Giants won in a giant upset!!

2) Roger Clemens testified in front of Congress … he probably wishes he that didn’t!

3) The Terps were beginning their run of four straight ACC wins and appeared tournament bound … I’m not going there.

That’s just to name a few things that have happened. 

Houston was 24-20 when this started … do the math 46-20 and in first place in the west!!  And — oh by the way — arguably their best player, Yao Ming, has been out since the 12th consecutive win!!  Holy crap!

The Rockets are in a stretch right now of the NBA’s best.  They beat the Lakers last night, they face Boston, New Orleans, Golden State and Phoenix in the next four.  So glad it’s St. Patrick’s Day, because the Rockets will need a little luck after the world’s biggest MUSH … me … just jinxed them!
