It Doesn’t Matter …
Whenever I talk about sports with my brother, he will counter every argument with the phrase, “it doesn’t matter …” It always frustrated me to no end. I took a page out of my brother’s book when it comes to the Ravens quarterback situation. Someone tell me how it matters that who is under center when the young, inexperienced offensive line is struggling to block anyone. Tell me how it matters who is throwing the ball, when the majority of the receivers struggle to catch passes, especially in traffic. Tell me how it matters who is running the offense when the running game is uncertain and the offensive line is still struggling to block anyone.
The bottom line is, who John Harbaugh chooses to start for the Ravens THIS season, doesn’t matter. The amount of other problems that will plague the 2008 Ravens are far more important than who is the quarterback. I really believe that Harbaugh deserved a better fate in his first season.
