Brett Favre has called it a career.  After keeping fans waiting with baited breath after each of the last three seasons, Favre finally did it.  I mean what was he waiting for?  442 TD passes … 61,655 passing yards … 160 wins as a starter … 275 consecutive games played, including playoffs … what was he waiting for?  Three consecutive MVPs … a Super Bowl ring … nine pro-bowls … what was he waiting for?  The death of his father … his wife’s cancer … what was he waiting for?  The best quarterback of his generation … what was he waiting for? 

Simply put, when you are Brett Favre, you wait for no one.  We wait for you, Brett!  The Hall of Fame is waiting for you!  Thank you Mr. Favre for a great career and your own wing of highlights in the NFL Films directory.  We will wait for a long time before another like you comes along.
