Hello blog fans!  I am back after a hiatus from blogging … what the hell … I just got lazy!  Hope the bosses aren’t reading!  Anyway, this blog is aptly titled, not only because it’s been a while since I did some writing, but also because it’s been a while since the Orioles have played like this.  And if you aren’t just living in the moment, shame on you!

For weeks I have been listening to O’s fans either say that the organization needs to continue to make moves, or that the other is going to drop.  PHOOEY to both of them.  First off, if you believe in the new regime of Andy McPhail and Dave Trembley and you believe that they can take this team where it needs to go, then don’t worry about what YOU think they should do.  Let them just do it!!  And secondly, why does the other shoe have to drop??  Why do they have to finish below .500 for the 11th straight year?  I need a better reason than “because they will” or “that’s what always happens” … those don’t qualify.

Either way, just enjoy baseball in Baltimore again.  Enjoy a team  that plays the game with intensity, fervor and heart.  Enjoy a manager who can promise to put a team on the field that plays baseball the way little leaguers are taught to play.
