thoughts of the week …
I usually pick one topic but with so much going on, here’s just a few interesting thoughts …
- #1 Tennessee Volunteers … that lasted about 28 hours!
- the Wizards are trying to make the playoffs … right? I mean the Rockets lose arguably their best player in Yao Ming … the Wizards go out and score a season low 23 points in the first half and lose by 25 … not the way to make the playoffs boys. But then again, they play in the East, so does it really matter?
- NHL trading deadline just passed … alright, no one around here cares about hockey, but 25 trades involving 45 players and over $72 million in salary being moved … that has to be some sort of record. Plus the Washington Captials made some impressive moves to make their push towards the playoffs.
- the Department of Justice is going after Roger Clemens … oh my dear freakin’ Lord!!!!! Can we please stop going backward and just start moving forward. I am just so sick of hearing about it. I can’t wait for the games to start.
- the Ravens cut Mike Anderson today … I hope one of the nicest guys in the NFL catches on somewhere because he has been a success everywhere he has gone … including the United States Marine Corps.
- Gary Williams better come up with some magic over the last three games, starting tomorrow at Wake Forest if he wants to make the NCAA tournament. If anyone can do it, Gary can …
- I don’t care if this Orioles team is going to suck … watching young guys without big money contracts play is as pure as watching Little League … and it’s fun!
