Zinno’s Final Four predictions

Memphis-UCLA

It’s pretty simple here … UCLA wants to slow things down.  They can’t run the way Memphis can.  The first 5-8 minutes of the game will be crucial for John Calipari’s squad.  If they are missing shots in transition and can’t get to the free throw line early, the advantage goes to UCLA.  What happens when you miss shots early and when you like to run, is coaches always will slow things down run, run the offense and take a high percentage shots.  Going inside one-on-one against Kevin Love and UCLA is a bad idea.  I think Memphis pulls this one out.  Sorry Ben Howland … you are now 0-3 in Final Four appearances!

UNC-Kansas

The winner of the entire thing comes out of this game.  It really is a test of UNC’s top players versus Kansas’ depth.  How long can Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson last against a very deep, very good defensive Kansas team?  Don’t bet against “Psycho T” Hansbrough.  He knows how to get to another level like no other player in college can … maybe even in the history of the game.  Roy Williams past with Kansas isn’t a factor.  That’s just crap the media (me excluded in this case) likes to conjure up.  Give me UNC in a tight high-scoring game in the 80s.

FINAL GAME — UNC v Memphis

If you like running, this is the game for you!  Both teams could score in the 90s as neither team will stop to play defense because they are too busy scoring!  The Tar Heels win … again … 95-91.
