The University of Maryland Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program, located within the Digestive Health Center, is a regional referral center for the most difficult inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) cases. Although the specialists at the University of Maryland IBD Program treat a wide array of gastrointestinal illnesses, they place heavy emphasis on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. At the University of Maryland, our IBD team is experts in developing individualized treatment plans taking into consideration risk, benefits, and alternatives to each class of therapy. In addition our team attempts to minimize the use of steroids whenever possible. |

The Department of Neurology offers comprehensive, integrated patient care from acute neurological intervention through long-term rehabilitation. The University of Maryland Sleep Disorders Center provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of more than 80 different types of sleep disorders by a multidisciplinary team of specialists in a state-of-the-art sleep laboratory.
