I think the passing of Michael Jackson strikes me the same way when we heard of Elvis Presley’s untimely death as well as hearing the death of John Lennon. Anytime the world loses a multi-talented person such as Jackson, Elvis or John Lennon, it’s a loss for the world not only from a music perspective but also from a human perspective and truly shows me how vulnerable each of us is at this time. It should be a time of reflection but also a wake up call to all of us.
I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY IM STILL SHOCKED ABOUT HIS DEATH. HE WAS MY FAVORITE SINGER I REMEMBER AS A CHILD ON MY BIRTHDAY WHEN THRILLER CAME OUT I GOT THAT RECORD FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND I WAS PLAYING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. MICHAEL JACKSON WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ME. IM SO SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK AND TWITTER AND JUST PEOPLE IN GENERAL PUTTING HIM DOWN HE’S HUMAN HE DOSENT DESERVE THAT. THIS MAN DESERVES RESPECT HE’S ALSO A HUMAN BEING!!!!!!!!!!

I was in my car yesterday when I heard the news on the radio. I immediately busted out crying. I remember being a little girl dancing in my living room with my silver glove and microphone with Thriller and Billie Jean. Our world has seriously suffered a tremendous loss. We have lost an Entertainment Icon, a Charlie’s Angel, and The King of Pop…. How devastating!!
Hi Greg (and Diane):
Nice job on paying tribute to a modern American icon. His superb contributions to music far surpass the blatancy of the life he lived in the past few years. The biggest tragedy of all is that we pay tribute to these kinds of people AFTER THEY DIE..rather than while they are still alive and can appreciate it. I have not heard Michael’s music on the radio (till today) in years!!

Michael Jackson was one of the greatest artists of our time. He has contributed to music, dance, and more importantly, bringing people from all corners of the world together in an appreciation for his talents. He will be missed.

Diane, I tried to get through this morning, I just wanted to thank you and Greg. You are both doing an awesome job in honoring Michael Jackson. I know I speak for many fans, you can not begin to imagine how much it means to us!!!! Thank you so so much!!!!!!
Dear Greg & Diane,
I just want to say THANK YOU for the tribute your station is playing today. I was in total shock after hearing the news last night. I have too many favorites to mention but if I had to pick it would be Billy Jean or the theme from Free Willy. Even though I’m only working til 12 today I will enjoy most of it!
Lissa:
I think it’s wonderful that you are doing this tribute, and I can’t help but find myself singing EVERY song you have been playing!! I have to say, though, that HEAL THE WORLD has always been my favorite and I think it’s a very symbolic song as to what he wanted his life to be about! I think it should totally be played today!
