I was amazed to learn that if I didn't keep my rain gutters super clean all year long, I was in for some potential serious problems. It didn't take me long to read articles about my rain water lying in my gutters could create some serious problems, i.e. stagnant water that breeds mosquitoes (West Nile Virus), insects that carry contagious diseases, virus, mold, contaminants, and allergens that would end up in my rain barrels. I did some research on-line and found an American made gutter cleaning kit that actually vacuums out all that debris, wet and dry, at the same time, and attaches to my wet/dry vac that allows me to keep my feet on the ground while cleaning with the Gutter Clutter Buster Kit. I can now do my second story rain gutters without a ladder. Now my rain barrels are keep full of cleaner, fresher water that I use for over 80 projects instead of potable water. This tool vacuums all debris into my vac canister so if I choose I can use it as an extra layer of mulch around trees or plants. Consider doing yourself a big favor and keep your rain water cleaner. Add a second barrel for even more benefits, and lower water bills.
