What are the Ravens??
Two weeks of the NFL season are gone and everybody is rushing to judge what the Ravens are and in some cases what they aren’t. Let me clarify what the Ravens are … they are a 2-0 team heading home to play the 0-2 Cleveland Browns in a divisional match-up at M&T Bank Stadium.
Here is what the Ravens aren’t … they aren’t a team that needs to add a wide receiver. They aren’t a team that needs to add a new cornerback. They don’t need to change schemes on the defense or the offense. They don’t need to try more trick plays or special teams trickery to jump start things. I will even admit, they aren’t a team that needs to stop celebrating and dancing when they do good things.Â
What the Ravens are, is a team that has won their home opener and then went on the road, cross-country, and beat one of the pre-season favorites in the AFC. They are a 2-0 team facing a divisional opponent in week 3 … and divisional opponents are NEVER automatic wins. So let’s reserve all of the judgments about what the Ravens are and what they aren’t for later on in the season.
